With a background in B2B magazine publishing and events at major corporates including Emap and Reed Exhibitions, Andrew's first entrepreneurial enterprise, Meetings of Minds, launched the Thames Gateway Forum in 2004. On the strength of rapid growth and winning a number of industry awards, United Business Media bought the event in 2006. Subsequently Andrew became the founder and primary investor in Base, which he set up in 2008. He received the PPA Business Publisher of the Year award in 2001, while responsible for Emap's civil engineering portfolio.

A geotechnical engineer by background, Paul turned to construction journalism in 1990, editing and publishing a specialist civil engineering magazine at Thomas Telford and latterly Emap. Paul set up a broad-based editorial services consultancy in 2001, before joining the Thames Gateway Forum as content director early in its development, having worked with Andrew and co-founder Geoff Ross at emap. Paul was retained as a consultant to the Thames Gateway Forum by its new owners United Business Media, up to the point when Base was set up in 2008.

Steve Norris
Steven Norris was a Conservative MP for 14 years and Minister for Transport in London for nearly five. He was his party's candidate for Mayor of London in 2000 and 2004. He was Director General of the Road Haulage Association for three years and President of the Motorcycle Industry Association for five. He is currently Chairman of SoHo Estates and Saferoad BLG. He is a member of the Board of Transport for London and the London Development Agency, and author of the transport chapter of David Cameron's Quality of Life Commission Report.

Tom Burke CBE
Tom Burke is a founding director of E3G, an environmental policy adviser to Rio Tinto and a visiting professor at Imperial College and University College London. He has been a leading environmentalist for over 30 years including a stint as executive director of Friends of the Earth and is a former advisor to three ministers of the environment. He is currently a senior business advisor to the Foreign Secretary's Special Representative on Climate Change.

Sean has 25 years' experience gained in senior management and board level roles in companies including Boots, IPC Media and Haymarket. He is an accomplished entrepreneur with a breadth of experience covering B2B and B2C and has built and grown businesses ranging from online media to innovative product development. He is currently Chairman of One Delta. Sean was recently selected as a member of the Guardian Courvoisier Future 500, representing entrepreneurs that are making a difference.
